In the Garden

Come watch us grow!  This was a big year of change and renovation.  We planted sweet potatoes and various types of starch potatoes.  We also planted green and yellow wax beans, heirloom tomatoes and dried beans.  We discontinued selling at farmers' markets and sold directly to the public or at a local produce auction.  This allowed us to concentrate our efforts on giving you the best quality produce as well as allowing us the time to expand in to other crops.

We Want To Be Your Garden

We welcome your custom growing contracts, whether a local produce marketer or specialty restaurant.  We also do family sized orders.  Prices vary according to market price of produce selected and quantity ordered.  Please contact us early in the season if there is something special you would like us to grow for you.

We are an organic based operation and all of our produce is grown without chemical fertilizers or "cides" like fungicide. herbicide or pesticides.

Introducing Juneberries or Saskatoons

Last year we planted 100 Juneberry bushes.  These are expected to be producing in 2014.  Juneberries are a native fruit also know as Saskatoons in Canada.  They are similar in size and shape to a blueberry and their flavor is described as a mixture of a blueberry and a cherry.  Juneberries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.  Juneberries are excellent fresh or frozen as well as being used to make pies, jams and jellies.

Log Grown Shiitake Mushrooms

We are very excited about our log grown shiitake mushrooms.  Shiitake mushrooms are a symbol of longevity in Asia.  They are used in many oriental dishes.  They add a meaty flavor and are one of the main sources of protein in Japan.  They are also rich in iron and vitamin D and B vitamins.  We are expecting our first large harvest in late summer of 2012.
